Welcome, pull up a chair

Welcome ol' friend. Glad you're here.

What in the heck is "The Inspiration Farm" about?

It's a place to cozy up and soak in weekly inspiring stories aligned with Kentucky’s growing season. Stories about people, places, and things you haven’t heard because nobody has told them yet.

Why the farm?

My longing for roots, home, and a simpler time has grown into a hankering to manifest in stories that I hope will become experiences wrapped in a hint of nostalgia, and old times, and provide a gentle reminder of why we are all here in the first place. Plus, I hope the stories will resonate and bring me closer to my kin and kindred spirits.

Who is this for?

Maybe lonely folks who feel like they've lost their way and need a grounding of sorts or just an ol' friend that will listen. You know you're in the right place if your heart melts at the sound of the pollywog song mixed with the Friday and Saturday night distant drag strip hum at Thorn Hill or the train that runs loudly down Decoursey, or if you long for a comeback of the Fireman’s Picnic in June, or if your breath is taken away by the smell of funnel cakes at the county fair, or if waiting in line for the Corn Man at the Moose Lodge on the first hot summer day knowing we’ve still got months of warm weather ahead of us could make you weep. If any of those memories ring true for you, you’re my people and this blog is for you. Those are the people that I want to attract, hang out with around a fire while listening to some Johnny and June.

This blog is for...

Folks that need to sit back, steal an exhale moment just before you have to lace up your work boots and get back at it again in the early morning.

So, pull up a chair, let's shoot the breeze, and connect, shall we?
